๐Ÿ“šOnboarding Guide

Interview

Are you in a gang? (If yes, please tell them that in order to move onward they need to choose either staff life or gang life.) Do you have any prior staff experience? If yes, ask them what experience they have, we are mostly looking for key words like pulling logs and helping with donation items, placing bans and doing tickets. If they mention these, ask them how to pull logs, or what they do to pull logs. If they donโ€™t mention pulling logs through a discord, (like ours) they will start off as a support. If they know how to pull logs like the ones we have, they will start off as a moderator!

Staff Rules

  1. No staff in gangs, this is one of our biggest rules. Please pick one or the other as you cannot do both.

  2. Whenever you are in city you MUST be in a staff discord VC at all times. If you would like to deafen or mute, that is fine by us as long as you're in there.

  3. 5 minute rule: Supports get PRIORITY over any other rank to respond to a support & report ticket. In the first 5 minutes of a ticket no other rank should be taking a ticket. After those 5 minutes are over, a moderator will respond to the ticket. If a moderator does not jump in, admin+ will take over and help out.

  4. Being polite: Please act maturely and professionally in these tickets, if they are trying to argue with you and you no longer feel comfortable dealing with the ticket, ask the rank higher than you to take over.

  5. Power tripping: This is self explanatory, there is no power tripping or admin abuse here. If caught you will be removed no questions asked. We have zero tolerance for this behavior, please do not argue with your staff team/insult them because youโ€™re a higher rank. Please do not spawn stuff in for your friends, etc.. It will be an automatic perm/removal.

  6. Let them know that all other rules are in the Staff Rules section of the gitbook.

Discord Developer Mode

Ask them if they already have this enabled. If not, tell them to go to:

Settings > App Settings > Advanced > Turn on โ€˜Developer Modeโ€™

Make sure all channels are visible for them

You will need to make sure their discord is setup to show all channels otherwise they will not be able to drag tickets to their respective tabs to be worked on. They will need to go to the top left of the Illusion discord and right click on "Channels & Roles"

Then instruct them to fill the check box "Show All Channels"

Final Onboarding Steps

  1. Add their Staff and Support roles in the discord (and Moderator if that is what they are coming in as).

  2. Invite them to the logs discord and give them the Admin & Mod role https://discord.gg/Z7XaYsCmsV

  3. Give them this Gitbook, had them save it to their browser for future use https://illusion-roleplay-1.gitbook.io/illusion-staff-guide

  4. Walk them through a practice ticket making sure they are able to greet the player, rename the ticket, pull logs, ping an admin, and move the ticket to the correct tab

  5. Make them aware that we have a 2 minute clip rule. The only exception to this is F8's (with either ID or ghost message), exploits, and slurs. RDM/VDM MUST be 2 minutes or more in length unless the VDM is clear.
